So, as I'm learning my new camera, I'm also really trying to learn Photoshop Elements. I decided to go back to that picture I liked so much of E and her Daddy. What I found is that it only got better! What do you think? Here's the old picture:

Very nice, good improvement.
I might add cropping out the right side just to her fingers or maybe cutting the tips off, I know, it kills a mom to do so, but it might make a stronger composition, or photoshop the trees into the blank sky so your eye is not drawn to it.
